Overbranding is back, it seems, with adidas now joining in on the theme’s resurrection with this aptly-titled adidas Superstar “Overbranded”

Delivered atop a simple all-sail build, the Brand With The Three Stripes makes their presence known with repeated ribbon branding at the midfoot and laces, alternating Trefoil motifs at the heel strip, and doubled-up, oversized Trefoil motifs on the medial side — this finish completed by a Sean Wotherspoon-like flyaway thread. There’s more to be found through the icy outsoles, too, with a fluttering of Trefopil motifs set under-stride to complete the design.
