November hosts the annual Native American Heritage Month, a time to celebrate rich and diverse cultures, traditions, and histories and to acknowledge the important contributions of Native people of the nation. Heritage Month is also an opportune time to educate the general public about tribes, to raise a general awareness about the unique challenges Native people have faced both historically and in the present, and the ways in which tribal citizens have worked to conquer these challenges. For sneaker brands, they’ve often shown love through product which benefits charities that work directly with Native Americans, all the while promoting awareness — and some serious steeze. This year, it appears that adidas will be honoring the month with a special-edition Native American-inspired ZX 10000 that’s filled to the brim with traditional toolings.

Twill uppers in a striking red serve as the pair’s base, with both suede and plastic overlays at the toe and tail matching suit. Stright over the vamp is an undyed suede, which is matched at the bone-hued midsole. Native American-inspired accents are then laid on thick, with raw leather toggles, rear beacon motifs, lace beads, zig-zagging details, and lace-lock pendant all featuring traditional touches. Popping carlos tongue tags and side piping gives the pair some extra oomph, and the pair is complete with a strike of hot pink on the Torsion System and its lateral branding.

It appears that adidas has more in store for the upcoming celebration of Native American Heritage Month, with two additional Native American-inspired options appearing today. The previously-previewed ZX 1000 will be joined by a Superstar and an NMD, both of which feature like raw leather toggles, beacon motifs, and epic lace-lock pendants. The Laceless Superstar arrives constructed n a grey twill paired with teal accents and an aged-look sole unit, while the mid-top NMD opts for all-back, save its crips white BOOST midsoles.

A release date for this Native American-inspired pack is yet to be revealed, but it’s likely to arrive in and around November as the nation observes its annual Native American Heritage Month. As always, keep your eyes glued to our official Twitter account adidas failures.
