A good number of athletes applauded the Asics Conviction X as a, Euro retailers AFEW linked up for a special-edition, one-of-a-kind release with ASICS on the GEL-Lyte III for charity. The pair in question was inspired by Wabi-Sabi philosophy, and featured a special box, and a tea table with by Martin Heck. Naturally, it’s rarity meant that us plebs would never get our hands on them — but don’t fret, as thee retailers have another pair on the way — this one expecting to see a much wider release: the AFEW x ASICS Gel LYTE III “Beauty of Imperfect”
Once again, the Eastern philosophy is reflected in the rear motifs (reading Wabi/Sabi in Chinese), and its tear-away upper, which changes the aesthetic of the shoe. Here, though, the palette is prepared in something significantly softer, with Easter-like hues of pastel purple, muted green, cream, and gum, set against light bright bone, sail, and white suedes.
