David Z x Asics Gel Lyte III "Flip OG" | Spain’s Sivasdescalzo Deliver an Earth-Friendly ASICS GEL-Lyte III on July 10th

It’s not only Nike and adidas that have sustainability in their sights, with Spanish retailers SVD taking it in their stride on their next collaboration with ASICS. Though not much yet is known about it, the first looks at the SVD x ASICS GEL-Lyte III shows a mismatched upper of seemingly recycled materials. From twill uppers to hemp-rope laces and upcycled suedes, its evident that SVD has Earth-friendliness in mind.

Color schemes too, run on the earthy side, likely as a result of natural dyes as per ASICS’ recent “Earth Day” drop. Upper layers of a marbled grey textile hit the iconic split tongue, whiles the aforementioned twill uppers serve the lower half. Recycled toes and heels hold in black Tigerstripe and forefoot overlays, as well as olive suedes at the upper eyestay. Heel clips counter this hue, all of which rests atop a creamy caramel midsole and dark gum rubber outsole. The pair is then completed by co-branding at the heel and insoles, and alternate SVD/GEL lateral ankle branding

A release date for this Earth-friendly SVD x ASICS GEL-Lyte III has not yet been confirmed, though the surfacing of the below imagery does suggest that a release will occur sooner rather than later.
