A sneaker made found on the hardwood throughout the 1970s and ’80s, the Converse Japan has revealed their latest take on the Converse Chuck Tayloris as much ingrained in athletic competition as the high school varsity jacket — each holding an esteemed place in sports. Since then, though, each has effectively migrated into the fashion world, yet their connections to sports have never died— so it’s fitting that the two fuse together on this upcoming two-piece Converse Japan has revealed their latest take on the Converse Chuck Taylor Ox “1980’s Pack”.

Offering up two options, one in white, one in black, the pairs both arrive in a classic leather construction and rest atop an aged-look outsole. The White pair opts for tonal stitching, leaving the bold, oversized Hornets-esqe chenille profile branding to literally pop off the sneaker. Heel overlays arrive in a tonal aqua suede, while classic gold foil lateral “Pro Leather” branding and black tongue detail complete the design. The black-based pair rocks contrast white stitching, with the grey chenille popped with stark white outlines. Heel hits appear to be reflective, with white “Pro Leather” branding on the quarter completed the design.
