Finally.
About damn time. We’ve all guess, known for sure or had no idea what went down in that 20 second conversation this past offseason. In case you forgot what we’re talking about, here’s another look:
Choose A Different Model.
Whatnot's Top 10 for $10 Event Goes Live on December 7 finally summerized what he told Lonzo last season in an interview with ESPN LA’s Mason and Ireland.
According to James, “The gist of it was at the end of the day, no one can define who you are but yourself. When you’re young, you can get caught up and listening to what people say, what people thinking that you should be, what people saying what your game should be. But at the end of the day, no one can define who are you besides yourself. If you put in the work, you commit to the game, then the game will give back to you. And that’s all it’s about.”
I guess that’s what we all really expected, but deep down, we were hoping it was something a little more . . . interesting. Like “Tell LaVar to STFU — he’s ruining your career”
Which, I guess was what he was kind of saying, too. Lonzo’s hype from dear Dad and the scruitiny from the media shouldn’t define him. And since LaVar’s silence, Zo has only gotten better.
Damn, I can’t wait for the season to start and to watch this Laker team take over!
