The Cavs’ Reason for Firing Tyronn Lue is Absolute Garbage

Almost as garbage as their start to the season . . .

You wouldn’t want to be a head coach in Cleveland right now.

Not only was Hue Jackson just fired by the Cleveland Browns, but the Cleveland Cavaliers also fired their head coach Tyronn Lue on Sunday morning.

A coach that’s made four straight NBA Finals, mind you.

Yeah, we get it. The Cavs have not impressed this year with a 1-6 record, but the newly-surfaced reason for the firing is beyond garbage:

Why did Cavaliers fire Tyronn Lue? “Disconnect” between playing youth, veterans https://t.co/w5eiDVGbUV

But let’s be real, it’s fair to say that they just don’t have as much talent or leadership on their team without LeBron James.

According to reports, general manager Koby Altman told JR Smith and Kyle Korver they would be phased out of the rotation in favor of playing younger guys like Collin Sexton, Cedi Osman and Larry Nance, but Lue continued to play the veterans anyway.

Mind you, Osman is averaging 32 minutes per game, Sexton is averaging 23.5 and Nance averaging 22 compared to Kyle Korver (15), JR Smith (12) and George Hill (26.7).

Not that big of a disparity there — so why are they telling porky pies?

The Cavaliers have fired head coach Tyronn Lue, and owner Dan Gilbert has now fired the 3 most successful head coaches in Cavaliers history.

Everyone knew the Cavs would struggle this season — and the start isn’t even unexpected. So what’s the real reason Lue is gone? I don;t think we’ll every really know — but we can speculate that it has everything to do with James and nothing to do with Lue.
