Last yearโ€™s inaugural draft saw captains LeBron James and Stephen Curry picking their teams in private, which drew a ton of criticism from fans and some LeBron James @KingJames:

Yo @StephenCurry30 that was fun!! Definitely shouldโ€™ve been televised. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿพโ€โ™‚๏ธ #AllStarDraftโญ๏ธ

Weโ€™re tipping those picked last don;t want to make this public, but hey โ€”just getting to an All-Star game is a win in itself. So donโ€™t be a baby about it.

According to Stein and Draper, no firm date has been set for the 2019 draft, but Jan. 30 and 31 โ€œhave emerged as two potential targets for a TNT broadcast.โ€
