New Greyscale Air Jordan 1 KO Arrives September 17

though it certainly has a cult following, the lesser-loved OG AJKO model from the mid-1980s is still one of the most underappreciated efforts from the brand’s extensive catalog. Slowly but surely, the silhouette is showing signs of a resurgence. From the OG-inspired “Chicago” and the recently-released “Syracuse” colorways, fans have been treated — but not often enough. But you won’t have to wait too long for its next installment, with this new greyscale effort expected to hit shelves this July.

Assuming its classic canvas construction, the pair looks to clean whites for its upper, and light smokey greys for its overlays. The collars return in pure white leather, with bold blacks applied at the pair’s branding; that is, the Swoosh, Wings, and tongues. In an interesting move, Jordan Brand employees an exposed-foam look to its collar, with complimentary sail tints applied to the tongue and laces, with white soles also featuring sail trim.
