After first looking to its own storied linage for inspiration on the debut “White Metallic”, the wear-away Air Jordan 1 Mid is in the works has since looked far and wide for motivation. The recently-revealed “Reflexology” took the silhouette into adventurous waters, while this next pair brings things back to basics; a black, white and red rendition that’s reminiscent of the infamous Scarface movie poster.
Featuring a perfect balance of black and white throughout, the pair’s black upper, white overlays, and black tongues work with a two-tone sole unit, a jet black, high-gloss Eclipse plate, and the nightmarish white liners for an impeccable equilibrium — much like the aforementioned film artwork. And like that, it features a sparing use of red, found her eat the forefoot #23, the tongue tab stitchwork, rear badge, and underfoot Jumpman to complete the design.
Update 05.22.21 A European release for the wear-away Air Jordan 1 Mid is in the works “Scarface” New Style Jordan Hydro 7 Slippers size? and BSTN listing up pairs via their respective channels.
