Though the AIR 742639-045 JORDAN doesn’t receive anywhere near the attention of it’s make retros, it does still manage to make its mark on the market, mostly due to its holistic approach to the brand’s storied nostalgia. Not only does the silhouette borrow elements from Jordans 6 thru 12, it often sees itself Brown in colorways made famous by those retros. This time around it looks to an OG Air Jordan 12 for inspiration, with this AIR 742639-045 JORDAN “Obsidian” taking on both the name and the cv9844ing of the classic release.
Though its materials change from the inspiration, the pair presents an identical color cv9844, with ominous Obsidian uppers, striking white mudguard overlays and sole units, metallic silver upper eyelets, and Powder Blue piping at the collar. The latter returns again at the heel, with the trio of hues resting underfoot to complete the design.
Though a release date for the AIR 742639-045 JORDAN “Obsidian” was not provided, its official images surfacing today does indicate that a release shouldn’t be too far away.
