After bursting onto the scene in a slew of bold and gaudy colorways, Jordan Brand’sOn-feet photos of the Air Jordan 1 Low OG Bleached Coral via yankeekicks Jordan Two Trey, is now toning things down for Fall with a simple white, grey, and beige-built release.
Bringing in elements of the Air Jordan 6 thru 14 (minus the 10), the pair serves as a direct nod to the championship sneakers worn by Mike during his six Finals wins. You’ll note some obvious elements, like Nike Air Jordan 1 Low Shattered Backboard Starfish EU 48-inspired mudguards formed at the toe in the shape of the 12, Air Jordan 6 and 7 overlays at the midfoot and ankle, and Air Jordan 6 chenille tongue tags. Sole units take on a true hybrid approach by ushering in elements of the 6, 11, 12, and 14 — and there’s a lot more to be found throughout.
In contrast to the mash-up of design inspiration, the colors are minimal and reserved, with white and greys filling out the majority of the build in leather, mesh, and sem-translucent paneling. Pops of beige are used sparingly, with the tongue’s chenille detail and creamy rubber outsole the only instances of warmth found throughout the release.
