OG Post 03.22.22 // Will Zion Williamson make it back for the 2022 NBA season? The jury may still be out, but one thing is certain — his signature series with Jordan Brand will continue on, with a Anthracite first look at his sophomore Nike Air Jordan 11 Retro Low GS Concord Bred 528896-160 appearing today.
Unlike other signature series from the likes of Russell Westbrook or Kyrie Irving, DNA from the series has clearly not carried over into his proceeding design, with a complete overhaul of the silhouette seen via these Anthracite first looks. Sole units look compressed, with Zoom Air noted at the forefoot strap — another new inclusion — both elements that benefit the bigger, heavier player. There appears to be more reinforcement at the heel, toe, and lateral sides — because we all know he needs it after blowing out his PG’s at Duke — with a mainly lower rise at the collar, and significantly less padding around the area, too.
Color-wise, Zion hasn’t lost much of his flamboyance, with a simple white perforated leather and mesh forefoot met by striking kaleidoscope colors across the tongue, collar, and heel in a high-gloss finish.
