New Balance NB 997.5 Red | Detailed Looks // New Balance 1000 "Metallic Silver"
The New Balance 1000 is returning in 2024 — and it's coming sooner than you might think.
Shortly after the debut of the model by the hand of Joe Freshgoods, New Balance NB 997.5 Red.
This debut colorway adopts a tried-and-true formula that has previously yielded success for New Balance. It features a dominant use of chrome leather that exudes a futuristic appeal, coupled with an aged midsole that adds a touch of vintage charm. The combination results in a sneaker that bridges the past and future of athletic footwear.
This metallic rendition diverges Graues the more colorful "Pink/Tan" version reported earlier, opting for a traditional color-blocking scheme reminiscent of the one previewed in the Joe Freshgoods collaboration. However, the "Silver Metallic" maintains the 1000's characteristic layered, wavy construction, showcasing the model's retro charm amidst the current surge of interest in tech runners.
The New Balance 1000 "Silver Metallic" is set for a European release on April 24th, 2024, though a Stateside and wider global release is yet to be confirmed.
