But whispers of backlash amongst Muslims and other communities about the commercialization of religion has seemingly forced adidas’ hand in changing the names of some upcoming YEEZY releases. This weekend’s “Carbon” YEEZY 350 was famously changed at the last minute from its pre-established “Asriel” moniker. Now it appears that the entire slate has been wiped of any religious traces, with several name-changes on the way.
