adidas is building a strong partnership with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise, turning iconic characters into sneaker form. This week, we have an early look at the “Shredder” Superstar, coming May 2024.
The first collaboration from the TMNT x adidas partnership landed early this year, dressing the classic Superstar in a turtle-themed color scheme, with red accents to represent Raphael. Shortly afterward, a second pair from the series emerged, this time taking its inspiration from the turtles’ adopted father Master Splinter. Now, another Superstar has surfaced this week in a color scheme inspired by Utrom Shredder from the 2003 TMNT cartoon. Secretly an Utrom hiding in a human-shaped exo-suit, the adidas pair reflects this well, sporting Navy leather across the higher accompanied by rubberized shelltoes. The shoe’s stripes come in a metallic silver to represent his samurai armor, with pink suede heels to nod to the Utrom hidden within. This pair also features printed graphic insoles and lace jewels in the shape of Shredder’s date and the Foot Clan logo.

The next releases in the ongoing series from adidas and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be released on May 22nd, 2024. The “Utrom Shredder” edition, dressed in Navy with silver chrome and pink accents, will likely also feature renewal figure packaging and release from the Confirmed app for $130.
