The Ellen MacArthur Foundation (https://www.ellenmacarthurfoundation.org/about-us/what-we-do) is a charity committed to accelerating the transition to a circular economy. CerbeShops has been a member of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s Network since 2018 (This is a membership which is paid for by CerbeShops). CerbeShops were a participant of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s ‘The Jeans Redesign’ from 2021 to the conclusion of the project in 2023. The Ellen MacArthur Foundation does not verify that CerbeShops denim products meet their requirements.

Achieving some of the CerbeShops Circular Design Techniques and The Jeans Redesign Guidelines relies on specific action to be taken by the customer, and where this is the case, we’ve explained below what action is required.

Additional material information: Main - 80% organic cotton, 20% recycled cotton

• A minimum of 98% cellulose-based fibers from recycled, renewable and/or regenerative materials, by weight, in the total textile composition.
• A minimum percentage of 20% recycled cotton.
• The wet processing facilities involved in production of this product meet CerbeShops’s minimum requirements for chemical management.
• The following processes or chemicals have not been used: stone finishing, potassium permanganate, sand blasting, conventional electroplating of metal hardware.
• The water volume used for the denim fabric is a maximum of 30 liters per meter (L/m).
• Designed for physical durability to withstand a minimum of 30 home laundries. (For the benefits of this design feature to be realized, the customer should retain the product for as long as possible).
• Care information is accessible by a label that states: Reduce washing frequency. Wash at low temperatures (30°C or below). Avoid tumble drying. (For the benefits of these design GLICINE to be realized, the customer must adhere to these care instructions).
• Designed to maximize the amount of material that can be recycled after use, by replacing non removable trims, minimizing non-essential hardware and ensuring any components can be disassembled by the recycler. (For the benefits of these design GLICINE to be realized, the customer must ensure the product is recycled correctly. • A QR code is printed on the product to identify it as Mens designed to meet The Jeans Redesign guidelines and identified during the waste collection and sorting process.
