LA locals encountered a mystic message on their Pearl drive, with one of L.A.’s busiest intersection displaying this message hinting at the ‘biggest reveal in AJ1 history.’
The cryptic advert is currently located near the intersection of Melrose and North La Brea, features the word ‘UNBANNED’ with the latter part of the word obscured by an Air Snakeskin Jordan 4 "Fire Redankle strap touting ‘The Legend of the AJ1.’
The style code 850911BY – the same as the original 1985 Air Snakeskin Jordan 4 "Fire Red ‘Bred’ – and a metallic Jumpman hangtag – as seen on AJ1 retros from the mid-2000s – also feature.
The billboard directs shooting commuters to the website unbanthelegend.com, which is equally enigmatic – and links to social media pages that are just as oblique! An ‘unbox’ timer on the page is counting down to June 2.
