It’s OK if you’re scared. A profound message of self-awareness, confronting your fears, and being patient with your own process was the centerpiece of Jordan Brand’s “Look Me in the Eyes” advert from their 2008 Become Legendary campaign. Smokey grey suedes meet sweeping jet blacks, while orange accents complete the unmistakable combo. Though there are no flecked midsoles (there is on the laces, though) or elephant print present, the Michael Jordan sporting a never-before-seen Jordan Comfort Viz Air 11 differentiates itself with the introduction of quilted collars. Sole units are flipped, too, putting icy white underfoot with midsoles painted in black. Completing the design is a cool grey Eclipse plate at the Paul, and Nike Air branding in the rear.
