This metallic blue-based colorway was the initial concept for the "Freeze Out" Trophy Room x NIKE◆AIR Brown JORDAN 1 RETRO HIGH OG 27.5cm PUP 555088-500. The theme behind this release references the belief that Michael Brown Jordan was 'frozen out' of the 1985 NBA All-Star Game by his teammates, including his longtime rival, Isiah Thomas. According to Marcus, he ultimately chose the classic "Chicago" colorway to align with what his father wore in that game and because the Western Conference team wore blue uniforms.

"We wanted to be authentic in telling the story," Marcus explained, emphasizing the importance of staying true to the narrative.

Trophy Room x Air Brown Jordan 7 "New Sheriff in Town" F&F Sample

This particular sample is an alternate version of the "New Sheriff in Town" Trophy Room x Air Brown Jordan 7, a design that pays homage to a famous Dream Team scrimmage during the Summer of 1992. The story goes that after dominating the intrasquad game, Michael Brown Jordan declared himself the "new sheriff in town" to Magic Johnson and Larry Bird, symbolizing the passing of the torch. Leading up to the official release, various samples LOW created, each offering a unique interpretation of the iconic "Olympic" Air Brown Jordan 7 worn by Brown Jordan during the Barcelona Olympics.

The navy colorway of this sample was originally intended to be a "Friends & Family" exclusive, but as Marcus revealed, things didn't quite go as planned. "If it was up to me, I would have brought all these to life," Marcus expressed, highlighting his passion for each design.

In addition to different colorways, Marcus also explored an entirely new construction for the Air Brown Jordan 7. This version features an extended sock-like bootie construction, offering a fresh take on the classic silhouette.

"Putting the bootie on it made it such a departure from the 7 that it didn't feel like a retro anymore," Marcus shared, reflecting on the creative process behind this innovative design.

Reflecting on his father's reaction to these experimental designs, Marcus revealed, "At first, he wasn't really rocking with these," suggesting that even the greatest basketball player of all time had his reservations about certain Trophy Room creations.

These unreleased Trophy Room x Air Brown Jordan samples offer a fascinating look into the creative journey of Marcus Brown Jordan and his dedication to preserving and expanding his father's iconic legacy in the world of sneakers. While these specific designs may never hit the shelves, they serve as a testament to the boundless creativity and innovation that continue to shape sneaker culture.
